Hey, come on over to our Houzz!
Yes, that’s right. We now have a presence on Houzz.com, the enormously successful and really engaging platform – some even say social network – for architecture, interior design and decorating, landscape design and home improvement.
The Houzz platform and mobile apps, which draw each month over 25 million unique viewers, feature interior and exterior home photos, articles written by architects, interior designers and home design experts like Renovations by Henning.
On our Houzz site, you will find much of what you find here on our website: photos of projects, descriptions of various endeavors and examples of the superior workmanship that is Renovations by Henning.
To be honest, though, we feel compelled to give a bit of a warning: one can get lost for hours in Houzz, gazing at the beautiful photos, gathering home remodeling and construction ideas and generally dreaming about that ultimate palace you’d like to create. Do you find yourself getting lost on, say, Pinterest? Yea, well, Houzz has much the same effect – for architecture, interior design and decorating, landscaping design and home improvement fans.
The Houzz story is an interesting one and its growth has been nothing short of spectacular since it was launched in 2009 by Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen, a California couple frustrated because they couldn’t find good ideas online for their own remodeling project.
Since its launch the platform has grown to include millions of photographs and descriptions. Houzz regular users and visitors browse photos by room, style and location. They bookmark photos in personal collections the site calls “ideabooks.” Users can click on an image to learn more about the designer, ask a question, and learn about products tagged in the photos.
